Larabars
These are an extremely easy, portable snack or meal. They are made without chemicals, preservatives or artificial additives. Depending on flavor choice, there is usually less than 5 ingredients, including nuts and dates. They can be a bit pricey individually, but you can buy a box of 16 for around $20 on Amazon.I have also made these myself at home, and is a little more cost effective and just as delicious.
Cacao Powder
This is the cacao powder we have been using, and LOVE, that my cousin (a Raw Vegan) recommended to us. I use it in smoothies, put it in Paleo Cake once, and frequently use it for my mock Larabar bites (recipe coming soon). You can find it in health food stores or on Amazon. I love Amazon!
REAL Raw Honey
Don't be fooled by "real" or "pure" or "100% natural" on your honey label. If you can see through it, it's NOT raw honey! This stuff contains powerful antioxidants, and natural vitamins and enzymes and is the real thing. Kind of gross, but it is almost like ear wax. Very thick and waxy. But it is phenomenal ~ and this is our favorite brand!
Look at just some of what you will get by consuming honey in it's RAW state:
Raw honey has anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal properties. It promotes body and digestive health, is a powerful antioxidant, strengthens the immune system, eliminates allergies, and is an excellent remedy for skin wounds and all types of infections. Raw honey's benefits don't stop there. Raw honey can also stabilize blood pressure, balance sugar levels, relieve pain, calm nerves, and it has been used to treat ulcers. Raw honey is also an expectorant and anti-inflammatory and has been known to effectively treat respiratory conditions such as bronchitis and asthma.
