Fitness

Remember when you were little and all the old folks said, "I wish I had a metabolism like you!"

Everyone believed that kids could eat whatever they want as long as they exercised moderately.  For the most part, that seemed to be true...especially if they were atheletic.  Then something happens somwhere around the age of 21: You start to put on some belly fat!  Where did that come from?  Chances are you attributed it to less activity because you were probably partying more and playing fewer sports/games.  Your muscle tone started to disappear.  Your energy level started to plummet.  Your desire to even workout became increasingly non-existent.  Sound familiar?

Since you now are blaming your crappy metabolism, you pretty much assume you will never see your abs again unless you bust your ass in the gym.  You may come to this realization in your 20's, 30's or even your 40's.  The problem is, the work in the gym is only part of it and you don't even know it!

If you continue to follow our blog, I will get into everything I have learned in the past 20 years and how the past 90 days has been what has made the biggest difference in making me a finely-tuned physically fit person.  I'll give you a hint...it does NOT involved 20 hours a week in the gym!  As I begin to learn more, I will also pass that along.

If you follow these basic principles, you will find your optimal health and fitness level eventually:

  1. Stop eating all crap! (No more processed, genetically altered, and sugar-laden foods)
  2. Work on body-weight bearing exercises (basic body movements like pullups, pushups, squats, lunges, light jogging, swimming, etc.)
  3. High Intensity Interval Training (look it up on the web, it works way better than jogging for 50 miles a week, and it takes much less time!)
  4. Consume whole foods from natural sources.
That's it!  Four things to start the path back to optimal health!  The most important thing to remember is that no matter what the scale says, your changes will reap amazing benefits...in the closet, at the doctor, at work, your mood, and in the bedroom!  So, don't give up and continue to remind yourself that it is NOT IMPOSSIBLE!
